Our Home
Our home in Kinvara, Co. Galway is a 125-year-old stone cottage full of character and charm, nestled at the edge of the Burren hills. With stunning views across this unique limestone landscape, it's the perfect backdrop for an intimate night of music.
The heart of our home is the gig room — a warm, welcoming space that comfortably hosts up to 30 guests. Designed with acoustics and atmosphere in mind, it’s ideal for solo performers, duos, or even a three-piece band looking to connect closely with a listening audience.

At Poppy Lane Sessions, each gig is a special, up-close experience where artists and audiences share something truly unique. We've been honoured to welcome some of Ireland’s finest talent through our doors, including the enthralling Emma Langford, the heartfelt songwriting of Ciaran Lavery, the captivating sounds of Seba Safe, and the powerful performances of Julia-Maria and Rachel Grace. These sessions go beyond performance — they're about connection, storytelling, and creating a space where music lives and breathes in the moment. Whether it’s a stripped-back acoustic set or a full three-piece arrangement, every show at Poppy Lane is a night to remember.
Snoop Dog
No Poppy Lane Session would be complete without our resident VIP: Snoop Dog. A 12-year-old Jack Russell Terrier with a finely tuned ear for great music, Snoop is more than just a beloved pet — he's the heart and soul of every gig. A true connoisseur of fine tunes, he’s been known to curl up front and centre during sets or wander the room greeting guests with a wag and a nod of approval.
With impeccable taste and a calm presence, Snoop brings a touch of charm and character to every evening, reminding us that good music is best enjoyed with good company — four-legged friends included

Poppy Lane Sessions is a labour of love, created by Ben and Jenni — a music-loving couple passionate about live performance, connection, and community. Hosted in our 125-year-old cottage in Kinvara, Co. Galway, we’ve built a unique home concert venue where audiences and artists share unforgettable moments in an intimate, welcoming space. With the Burren hills as our backdrop and our resident music critic, Snoop Dog the Jack Russell, always nearby, each session is filled with warmth, heart, and song.
Ben is the host of Fresh Éire, a contemporary Irish music program dedicated to showcasing the best of Ireland’s talent. His deep love for music, shared wholeheartedly by Jenni, fuels every aspect of the Poppy Lane Sessions. Together, we believe in the magic of live performance — stripped back, up close, and personal.
